The intention of the -d flag is for it to be run from the command line
rather than from inside heartbeat. If this isn't satistfactory let me
know, It should be easy enough to add some extra code so that,
for instance, -d=fork, turns on extra debugging, but still detaches
from its parent so it can be used inside heartbeat.
