Thanks for the help.
This was the first thing I suspected, but I couldn't get ipvsadm-1.8 to
work with 0.9.8-2.2.14 (matching versions) after a clean reboot, but
ipvsadm-1.7 (which came with the previous version 0.9.7-2.2.14) worked fine.

I couldn't get ipvsadm-1.9 (which comes with the latest 0.9.12-2.2.14)
to work with the 2.2.15 kernel yesterday for the life of me, but it
seems to work fine now ;-/. I still can't get ipvsadm-1.8 to work
with 0.9.8-2.2.14 but it doesn't matter anymore

another entry for the HOWTO...

Horms - to prevent any more of this, can you output the ipvsadm version number
on the line

IP Virtual Server version 0.9.12 (size=4096)

which is the first output when you run
$ipvsadm

you could probably put it at the end, incase someone is parsing this line
already.

thanks
Joe
