Hi,

I am glad that you spent some time looking at SCMS tools. One thing that I
would like to share is that
we are still actively developing it. The version you saw is 1.2.2 in TCL/TK.
We are going to release
more and more stuff soon. This includes:

1. Python based GUI tools. Much better performance, than TCL one.
2. Web based Interface that work with SCMS some features are:
    - Realtime monitoring in Java applet
    - Configuration browser
    - Some admin feature, shut down, start up
    - Check number of current user, process, disk, memory, mounted file
system.
This tool will be released on DEC 11.

SCMS is a long term project, we kept refining it for several years now and
will continue supporting it.
What is usually a problem is:

1. We need feed back from users on what features should be built. So, please
help feed back so next release ( around march next year) will be closer to
your need.
2. We also struggle with documentation since most of the team can not speak
or write english wel enough.
(Except me who are very busy.)

So, please feed back to us at the web board
http://smile.cpe.ku.ac.th/developer/scms_board/index.html

Putchong Uthayopas

SCMS Team.

other cluster management tools around.

of the LVS. For control of the LVS we are working on a simple Perl curses
program that does this. (We will be sending it in about a week to LVS for
those who want to try it out.)
