Delay in establishing the connection

Hi, I have installed the Piranha and Ultra Monkey LVS with DR and found to be working fine except it (both of them) takes about 25 to 30 seconds to establish the initial connection. Once the connection is established, there is no further delay in sending and receiving the data. I am using LVS for SMTP to increase the availability and scalability of outbound e-mail processing system. I would greatly appreciate if any one could help me in improving the connection time.
