this isn't that much.  this is a little less than 1 hit a second.

so basically you want vendor-level support for free?  you can acquire this
knowledge by spending 10 minutes combing the archives.  please do some basic
research before asking questions that are asked a lot..

having said that, I would use LVS boxes that are similar to what you are
using for your other boxes such as your web servers.  a common hardware
platform across the broad range of servers is a good idea.
