sometimes people pop on the mailing lists and ask how to do this, how to do
that; basically how to do their job.  "vendor-level support" is a statement
meant to impart that the people that are in LVS do it on their own time and
don't have a financial interest in helping.  Because of this fact asking
volunteer support people a lot of questions like "how do I do my job" can be
exacting.

Anyway, your second post has made it clear you are not in this category.
