The 50 machines make the actual connect(syn/syn|ack/ack) then the realserver
takes over.
So, lets take just one machine as an example.. it would be:
d.com - our "director"
rs.com - our "realserver"
ftp.com - ftp server to connect to.
d.com makes the connect to ftp.com(syn..), passes on the necessary details(tcp
seq#'s etc) to rs.com, rs.com says ok, sends the actual data pretending its
d.com
Anything even resembling this would be greatly appreciated.
In a real world senario, you are going to have d[1-50].com making the connects
to ftp[1-X].com and rs.com uploading the actual data.
Hope ive made it clear now.
Thanks!
