Mixed Configuration (Linux - Load Balancer, Solaris - Real Server)

Is it possible to have a Solaris machine as a Real server (member of the
load balanced cluster) i.e. What changes, if any are required for (example a
Solaris) machine to be part of the load balance cluster as a Real server.

Any pointers are highly appreciated.
