        Can you confirm that the packets leave the director with
bad checksum? You can check it by adding -vvv option to the
tcpdump (at least, the recent tcpdump versions calculate TCP
checksums).

        Also, you can try the attached patch for IPVS 1.0.6,
it is only a test version to confirm that the problem is
bad checksum. This patch is supposed to fix only the Direct
Routing.

        If my assumption is true, if you start the netfilter
connection tracking, the problem will go away.
