CPU, disk, RAM, net-connections etc. Then, you can have long-time-statistics (last week), medium-time-statistic (last hour) AND short-time-statistics (last five minutes). All three are important, none can be used alone. Then, you can say "one factor is more important than the other" and scale them with any weight... The result is a wild guess that is sometimes equivalent to what we call "load" :-( Thomas |
