In that case, I don't think the configure script finished running.  The 
errors I first reported (reposted below) happen when I run configure.

[root@prod-apache-atl01 configure-lvs_0.9.2]# ./configure 
lvs_dr.conf.one_NIC_one_network_matt
warning: ./configure has not been tested with kernel version 2.4.18
parse_hostname: error: gethostbyname failure - Couldn't lookup hostname 
lvs : No such file or directory

It's one of the files generated by the configure script.
