I see where this is going... I should have noticed (although I didn't)
that the lvs and dip entries in these lines were hostnames.
DOH!
Ok, so I took care of that and now I'm getting the following:
[root@prod-apache-atl01 configure-lvs_0.9.2]# ./configure
lvs_dr.conf.one_NIC_one_network_matt
warning: ./configure has not been tested with kernel version 2.4.18
parse_hostname: error: gethostbyname failure - Couldn't lookup hostname rr
: No such file or directory
I'm assuming that the rr part fomes from a request-reply response from my
nameserver. Only problem is that I tried taking out the hostnames
entirely and just using IPs and it's still happening... (excerpt from my
configuration file:)
VIP=eth1:2 10.80.1.20 255.255.255.255 10.80.1.255
DIP=eth1 10.80.1.5 10.80.1.0 255.255.255.0 10.80.1.255

lvs
what does `nslookup lvs` give you?
