Yes, of course, the LVS-TUN won't help here, if datacenter1 burns down. But
it will help if the webservers in datacenter 1 go down.

If you want real (V)IP-failover between two datacenters, then you will need
bgp support. Datacenter1 has to stop announcing the VIP-network and
datacenter2 starts announcing it. Think this is going to be really difficult
and it could take some time (some minutes to some hours).

The dyndns approach is more practical. You just have to make sure, that when
datacenter1 is down the dns records get updated. Increased traffic to dns
servers is the result, but if you need 2 datacenters then this should be
alright :)
